Henderson Foyer

Spice up your holiday party with a theme like this 1920’s event we produced and executed at the Henderson House in Weston, MA.  An elegant and unique venue, the two-story house sits upon a hill and is filled with traditionally decorated rooms.  While cozy enough to be a home, it has the perfect capacity for cocktails and mingling, placing bets at casino tables, psychic readings and learning how to jive.

Casino Tables

Greeted by a butler as they entered the house, guests adorned themselves in boas, fedoras, and feathered sparkle headbands and gathered for cocktails in the foyer as a pianist filled the house with upbeat tunes.   “Cigars! Cigarettes!” shrieked the flapper with a hawker tray as she passed around her chocolate treats.

The evening then transitioned upstairs for an elaborate array of food stations, mixed with seating in four uniquely styled dining areas including a guitarist.  Gold, black, cream and burgundy set the mood and unified the decor throughout each room.  A professional dance duo awed guests with a demonstration followed by interactive lessons.

Stepping back in time is such a fun way to celebrate the holidays in creative style!

Big Night 11 – Party Like a Rockstar

The Theme: Party Like a Rock Star.

And that’s just what happened at last weekend’s Big Night event to support Big Brother Big Sister of Massachusetts Bay.  We designed and produced the event at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center turning the venue into a full on 80’s rock party.  Guests negotiated their way through the feisty paparazzi into a sophisticated prefunction area where white and orange lounge furniture created classy enclaves for intimate conversations.

Then enter the ballroom – where the decor exemplified the grunge of the rock era.  Tables were adorned in edgy dive bar style with dart boards, half-yards of ale, beer coasters, graffiti, ping pong paddles and even Jack Daniels bottles turn tulip vases.

Headlining the entertainment was the local rock phenom, The J. Geils Band, putting on a crowd-pleasing show for the guests.  Followed by French Lick – it was music to be remembered – and dance party until 2am.

Check out BizBash for their coverage of the event.  Rock on!
