Boston Event Planning

We have good news to share – this month we’ve added two new members to our team!  Please give a warm welcome to Jennifer and Kevin!

Jennifer Logan

Jennifer Logan joined Corinthian Events in September 2013 with 12 years of industry experience ranging from event planning and business management to hotels and catering. She has a deep love for all things gastronomy; Jennifer went to culinary school, loves menu design and planning, and is even working on earning a Master’s in Gastronomy from Boston University. While she was raised as a Bengals fan, she’s learned to like the Pats ever since moving from the Midwest to Boston for her undergrad – she earned a Bachelor’s in Business from Northeastern in 2002, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management. She has been event planning since college, and her knowledge and creativity will make her an invaluable asset to all of our clients here at CE. Outside of work, you might bump into Jennifer on one of her long walks around the city, enjoying oysters and Belgian beers, or skiing and snowshoeing in Killington, VT.

Kevin Kuchera

After graduating from Northeastern University in 2012 with a degree in Music Industry and Venue Management, Kevin Kuchera joined Corinthian Events in September of 2013 as a Production and Technology Assistant. With a professional background including royalties accounting at Capital Records, front of house management at the Mayo Performing Arts Center, and a variety of positions in Boston bars and restaurants, Kevin looks to continue his work in planning and executing live events. Here at CE, Kevin will be managing inventory, overseeing the loading and unloading of event cargo, and assisting in graphic design and technology solutions.

Pops of Yellow

Pops of Yellow Black and White

Early fall is one of our favorite times of year here at Corinthian Events. The air is crisp and refreshing which means one thing; time for our annual tented reception in the Mandarin Oriental Boston’s Sitting Grove!

In a bold departure from last year’s Rusti-Chic décor, we went with a contemporary vibe featuring solid black and white furniture plus elegant table linen to add a soft touch. For a bright pop of seasonal color, a monochromatic yellow floral palette was artfully arranged in sleek black, white and yellow vessels.

And just like that, it’s over in a flash – can’t wait for next year!

About Town: Frost Ice Bar

Corinthian Events Boston

At 21 degrees, Boston’s new Frost Ice Bar is definitely the “coolest” place in town!  Located in Faneuil Hall, it’s the only ice bar in New England and the largest permanent ice bar in the world.

Last month the CE team had the opportunity to preview the space.  After donning insulated capes and winter gloves, we were ready to brave the chilly temperature and enjoy some icy cocktails.  Inside, everything from walls to couches to cups is made completely of ice, and signature cocktails and decor are all Boston themed.  The whole experience is fun and unique, albeit a little on the cold side.  Guests are allotted 45 minutes per visit, however, after 30 minutes we were definitely ready to let ourselves thaw out.

Some of our favorite elements were the larger-than-life chandelier and Swan Boat replica – both made completely of ice of course.

Frost Ice Bar is open seven days a week from 12:oo pm – 10:oo pm.  To find out more or purchase advance tickets, please visit their website.

A Farewell Note from Vic

Friday, October 4th, 2013

It’s with mixed emotions that I write this farewell note to my extended family. In my 3+ years with Corinthian Events, I have truly evolved and grown both personally and professionally. The blood (yes, blood), sweat (unfortunately for those nearby) and tears (can you believe it??) that were shed will not soon be forgotten. You can bet that I’m taking all of my wonderful experiences and countless memories with me as I go off on my next adventure.

I will cherish all of the relationships I’ve built during my time here; vendors, staffers, clients and colleagues alike, this unique family reaches far beyond the office walls at 109 Kingston, and the embracing arms of Courtney, Mary & Jill.

Now, dry those eyes, you aren’t truly rid of me yet! I am sure to weasel my way into CE events (as staffer or crasher – no shame), and will always keep in touch.

Until our paths cross again, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your wisdom, support and friendship.

All my love,
