Being Thankful… and Purposeful

November 22, 2016

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. – Winston Churchill

At Corinthian Events, we are grateful to have the pleasure of working with incredible for-profit companies who look to incorporate giving back to the greater community into their meetings, galas or other events. Sometimes this means taking a few hours between an activity to build in a service project, while other times it can take center-stage in the entire affair.

While we partner with many organizations throughout the year to add charitable elements into events, there are two groups we’d like to highlight.

Feeding Children Everywhere is a charity that creates an assembly line style set-up where guests pack dry goods into bags to create non-perishable meal packs. We created a team element to our last event, speeding up production, and packing meals in record time …If only there were records for this!

Artists for Humanity (AFH) is a Boston-based organization bridging economic, racial and social divisions by providing under-resourced urban youth employment in art and design.

Kids are truly amazing when given the opportunity and resources to flourish! Through AFH they learn design skills to produce art for paying clients as well as learn the skills to lead art based service projects.

A powerful event (as seen above), incorporated a color by number scheme – illustrating a final message that could be read once all the coloring was complete.

Through working with these two charities, we’ve been able to positively impact so many lives. This time of year it is important to reflect on all we’re thankful for and look ahead to the positive events we’ll plan in the future.

As we gather around our tables this week, we give thanks for all we have, realizing how fortunate we are. Reflecting on an incredible year of support and giving back, we look to continue to grow through our commitments to service, supporting others and giving back.
