Perception is Everything
I guess God made Boston on a wet Sunday.
Raymond Chandler
Let’s talk Boston stereotypes: Boring. Parochial. Educational. Dry. Stuffy. Dreary. Slow. Prickly.
Well, today we are going to let you in on a big secret – shhhh – it’s actually really fun! But don’t rush to rid yourself of those negative ideas just yet. While you live an American History lesson, enjoy world-class dining and boat around the beautiful Boston harbor, it may benefit your corporate image to be in a town seeped in education, innovation, and old charm, instead of a flamboyant jaunt in, say, Vegas.
Unfortunately, Raymond Chandler missed out on the opportunity to explore all of the exciting things that Boston has to offer – but that doesn’t mean you have to. Boston is one of the country’s leading destinations providing guests with the best in entertainment, food, activities, venue space and touring.
ART & CULTURE:
Home to an array of world class museums, vibrant theatrics and every kind of music, the city is filled with entertainment. Whether you want to walk through an Art History textbook or explore the art of right now – the Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Gardner and Institute of Contemporary Art pose inviting juxtapositions to keep you engaged. For live entertainment, head to the exciting theater district for a Broadway show that wows. Or scope out smaller theaters scattered throughout the city for a more intimate show. With concert venues as small as a hip night club, as happening as the House of Blues and as well known as the Garden – you can be assured that your visit will contain the best of the arts.
RESTAURANTS:
An option for every palette, Boston houses culinary gems in every corner of the city. Renowned chefs are constantly turning out the finest in cuisine, from traditional American to modern, steaks to sushi, Mediterranean to Brazillian – even vegetarians will find stimulating delicacies. Not to mention that New England may well be the seafood capital of the country and its capital city certainly takes advantage of all those fresh, succulent underwater delights. If you’re hoping to bring some of Boston’s great cuisine back home – ask us about a personalized cooking class with one of the city’s accomplished chefs for your group.
ACTIVITIES & ATHLETICS:
Now that you are an art buff and a food nut, satisfy your athletic side with a Head of the Charles experience rowing along Boston’s famed river. The river is home to boating galore as rowing and sailing clubs litter the river’s edge. It is not a surprise that some of the best views of the city are from the water. Land sports more your thing? There’s nothing more iconic to an avid sports fan than the oldest baseball stadium in the MLB, Boston’s Fenway Park. Watch a game from one of the private rooms, tour the facility, or hang out in one of the local sports bars where you can bowl, play pool or use batting cages! For an interactive edge, discover Boston by Scavenger Hunt, a consistent client favorite. Follow the clues around town in a race to finish first! You might have to find the real Cheers or have your picture taken with Paul Revere’s famous statue.
TOURS:
Activities in mind, there are a plethora of tour options for the curious visitor. With pockets of culture at every corner you will never be short of new experiences and exciting stories. Whether it’s a culinary tour of Boston’s Little Italy, the North End, or a walking tour of private homes in posh but conservative Beacon Hill, “A Day in the Revolution” at Lexington and Concord or educational bliss at two of the nations top universties, MIT and Harvard, we will cater each experience to you and your guests, ensuring that you not only enjoy your tour but that you meet your program goals.
VENUES:
If you are looking for a unique venue for your next meeting, look no further than Boston. The Boston Public Library, the first library to allow outside lending, is one of the cities most historical and unique venues, and ideal for a meeting, conference or dinner. If you are hosting a bigger group or looking for convention area, the new Boston Convention and Exhibition Center can hold anything from a fundraiser to a trade show in its sleek and modern space. Or awe guests with the true Boston experience – an evening seeped in intellectual charm at the Harvard Club. At this Boston icon, guests will be impressed with the history and prestige of each individual room while your meeting exudes an image of success.
As we said, perception is everything, and Boston gives the best of that.
