At Corinthian Events we partner with hotels all around the city of Boston to be their support team for logistics, planning, and executing of events. We also recommend hotel accommodations and offer site selection services to our clients at many of the best Boston hotels so knowing our colleagues comes in very handy.
We invited many of our hotel partners to our ‘Punch N’ Block Party’ to network and have fun… How better to get to know our colleagues than with a Block Party featuring self-defense training followed by gourmet bites, wine, and games.
While our tagline – ‘We got your back’ – and block party concept was tongue in cheek, it is important to take self-defense and preparedness training seriously.
This was a real Krav Maga style self defense class that we hosted and we had positive feedback from many of our guests including one who shared, “When I walk home at night after work I have my cell ready in case anything were to happen. I also have been looking to take self defense class so I jumped at the chance to come!”
After punching, blocking, kicking and chatting we worked up an appetite!
Ready just in time was The Catered Affair with passed hors d’oeuvres and plated gourmet pizza. Mike’s Music provided entertainment including music and games – ping pong and black jack tables were a huge hit, resulting in a friendly yet very competitive tournament!
We’d love to also give a big thank you to Be Our Guest who supplied amazing tables, linens, stools and chairs from their new collection.
The Park Plaza Castle was our venue for the evening. This unique venue was built originally as an armory for the First Corps of Cadets, a military organization. Nowadays, Corinthian Events manages this 14,642 square foot National Historic Landmark, hosting some of Boston’s most exclusive events.
Let’s just say – we had ample room for our Punch N’ Block Party!
Guests were refreshed with custom water bottles and took home combination whistle/compass/flashlights engraved, “We got your back!”
Cheers to a fun evening filled with wine, snacks, games and a bit of self defense training to ‘kick’ off the party!
