You Had Me At Merlot

Dreamy and romantic, our Corinthian Events team had the pleasure of designing this opulent reception at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Boston.

Candles glowed a top marble communal tables in a variety of reflective vessels including; nickel pedestal hurricanes, mercury glass textured votives, and nickel plated aluminum cylinders. The stunning tablescape was further elevated by mirror flower vases filled with luscious rouge florals.

The showstopping lighting was inspired by a night sky ablaze with stars was created by a blue textured pattern wash onto the light fixtures and the soffits above. The existing wooden walls were masked in white drape around the entire perimeter of the room as well – a perfect backdrop, allowing the décor to take center stage!

An assortment of linens with a variety in texture and color were employed from rich silks to buttery suedes including our personal favorites… ruby and silver woven patterned linens and amazing silver linens with small metallic leather circles sewn in rows.

Silver tufted velvet couches were used for soft seating which blended seamlessly into the overall design with help from the throw pillows, created in the same fabric as the linens. Round mirrored tables fit perfectly with the shape of the seating and reflected soft candlelight. On trend marble vases completed the look!

Oh the marble vases! We really can’t say enough about how beautiful they are! Our team fell madly in love with them – even more so, after they were filled with red calla lilies, roses, amaryllis and trailing flowers called amaranthus.

Marble details continued with a swoon worthy marble faced bar and custom marble tops for the communal tables.

A whimsical candy bar featured champagne lollipops, silver and red M&Ms, white and dark chocolate covered pretzels, cherry Sour Patch candies, silver wrapped chocolate kisses and more – all chosen to match the décor.

Glass and chrome vessels displayed the color themed sweets perfectly… a sweet ending to a gorgeous night!
